Four easy steps to setting up your presence on the web.

1. Create a free account with us.

When you have a valid email address you can create a free account with us. This account allows you to order and manage domains, hosting packages and other useful add-on products. It also allows you to access the support databases, view invoices, change your login password, renew services and contact support.

If you have more detailed or technical questions about the packages or features provided in them, creating your free account allows you to access the searchable support databases and discover more about their function, operation and technical specifications.

The process of creating the free account requires you to have a valid email address so that we can send your login details. Most people have a generic email address provided by their Internet Service Provider (ISP) but if you don't already have access to email you can easily create one, free of charge, with many popular providers such as "hotmail", "yahoo" mail or "google" mail. Many people consider these "free email" providers to be less secure so once your hosting package is operational it would be in your best interest to change your hosting account login details to match an email address created within it.

Setting up your account is automatic and very fast so you can start using it right away.

To set up your free account go to the pages for ordering a domain or a package but leave the domain name section blank if you do not want to proceed with ordering and payments at this stage. You can choose domains and packages later.

2. Register your free domain name (your web site name / address) and select your hosting package.

Ordering domains and hosting packages is also automatic and very fast so you can start using the features, creating your website and setting up email accounts, etc. practically right away.

The domain name registration process is immediate but it is useful to understand that it takes time for all newly registered domain names (or indeed modified DNS settings) to propagate through the world wide web and be recognised by all the necessary internet systems. This is just the way the internet works and is the case with all service providers irrespective of what they may lead you to believe. It would be reasonable to allow between 24 to 48 hours for this process to complete and your domain name become visible throughout the whole internet. It can and frequently does happen much faster, often within a few hours but there are no guarantees with that. Until then you can still get on with the job and set up your web site via your control panel. Your new web site will automatically become "live" as soon as the domain name has propagated through the required internet systems.

3. Set up your email and other web site features.

The control panel provided for you to manage your hosting package is designed to be intuitive and is clearly set up with descriptive icons divided into logical groupings. Setting up and managing the features is as easy as clicking the icons.

4. Get help and support

Support is provided via the "help" feature at the top of the control panel and in your free user account menu. The support databases are design to help you set up and use the features of your hosting package.
